This Deed made this 9^th day of May 1866,
between Lovey S. Jackson of the first part and
Robert M. Garrett of the second part, witnesseth;
that the said party of the first part, for and in con-
sideration of the sum of Fifty dollars, hath grant
ed and conveyed and doth by these presents, grant and convey unto the said party of the
second part, all of her right, title and interest,
to wit her life estate, in a certain house &lot, sit-
uate, lying and being in the City of Wi^msburg,
containing by estimation an eighth acre and bounded
as follows; viz, on the North, South and West by the
premisises of D^r Robert M. Garrett and on the East
by the "Capitol Landing road ", with all the rights&
privilidges thereunto belonging, with general war-
ranty—

This ^day received of Rob. ^t M. Garret $(50. 00/100) Fifty Dollars in
payment for the house above mentioned. Witness my
hand this 9^th day of May 1866.

state aforesaid, do certify, that Lovey S. Jackson
whose name is subscribed to the within instru-
ment of writing, has this day appeared before
me in my aforesaid, and acknowledged
the same to be her act and deed.

In the clerk's office of James City County and city of Williamsburg
April 2^nd 1887.—

This day the foregoing deed was received in the
office aforesaid, and having thereon endorsed the certificate
of the acknowledgment of S. L. Jackson a party whose name
