M^r Randolph accompanying this will discharge much of
that duty y^w might otherwise have expected from my selfe
as my son hath acq^ted me with yo^r favourable direction to procure
the Narroganset Comission soe will he herewith bring back thanks
from my selfe and Gent concerned in that affayre and give y^w
a full accompt of proceedings and Results thereon he being
intrusted with y^e Com^rs Report and the Defence w^ch upon a dayes
warning was made ag^t . D: Hamiltons Clayme and though
undigested will wee hope satisfy his grace in y^e Equity of our Title
and rather Induce him to Improve his Interest to conforme rather
then obstruct y^e confirmation of our right and settlem^t of Goverm^t
any Longer

My son I p[re]sume may be Imployd to attend his Majestyes pleasure
in this affayre all Concern^d have soe great dependance upon
yo^r Just favour and good Directions to him in y^e managem^t
that by his hands they recomend their peticón to yo^r p[er]usal
and p[re]ference and have according to the Circumstances of the Case
and the obligations y^w may lay them under by y^e good and expeditious

My p[ar]ticular concerns make me alsoe a petition^r M^r Randolph
promises his assistance to my son therein But I must alsoe Crave
the addicón of yo^r favour in this and coutenance such other
matters as may come under his Sollicitation and humbly
intrust y^w in such matters as he bring to yo^r Conusance y^w would
according to yo^r wisdome direct in courage or restraine him as
I know he may reap great advantages under y^e influences of
yo^r goodness and wherein I may otherwise fall short in Return
I shall pray that God make a recompence to yo^r selfe and those
that may be dearest to y^w and forever remaine
