Watercolor of Bruton Parish Church done by Thompson as a study for his work “Old Bruton Church, Williamsburg, Virginia, in the time of Lord Dunmore.” This work shows the church from a different perspective than the oil painting. The painting is unsigned. As the oil painting was completed in 1893 the watercolor was probably completed that year or earlier.
