WILLIAMSBURG, May 26, 1775
Last Monday [ May 22, 1775], between 2 and 3 o'clock, we had three severe hail storms, from the west, which quickly succeeded each other.
The first lasted very near five minutes, and most of the stones were as big as pigeons eggs, some much larger. A great number of windows were broke, particularly at the palace, which lost upwards of 400 panes. The gardens likewise sustained a good deal of damage;
